I am looking to start in a nursing program this Fall. Could moderate hearing loss disqualify me?

I just went to the doctor and they said I have moderate hearing loss in both ears. They also say I may need a hearing aid in one ear. They didn’t seem concerned about disqualification from nursing, but I was rejected from the Border Patrol and struggled with the the Philadelphia Police Department over it. I just don’t want to lose yet another opportunity for something that is not debilitating in any way to me.

Can temporary deafness that occurs more than once, cause permanant hearing loss?

I’ve experienced temporary hearing loss when I have flown on commercial airplanes the last couple of times, never before.So this does worry me that I may have eventual hearing loss from this, i’m 31 years old. And it usually lasts about 24 hours.

I have just been diagnosed with asymmetrical hearing loss and after reading up on net am alarmed to find out sometimes this can be caused by a tumour. Does anyone have any facts on this as i am a bit concerned!
I am waiting on consultant app. There were no other details on diagnosis letter.

I am a senior at Wilmington University who is trying to compile data for my senior thesis. I am trying to determine if there is a correlation between low self-esteem and quality of life for those who suffer from mild to severe hearing loss. Thanks for your help!
