I get ear, nose and throat infections once every 3 months. Is this something that could lead to something serious in the long run and could this lead to hearing loss?
In June 2007, Dr Herzog was interviewed regarding a completely implantable hearing aid. This new device has undergone a phase 1 trial with the Food and Drug Administration. The Center for Hearing and Balance Disorders is one of a limited number of centers selected to participate in the phase 2 study. The device is intended for individuals with moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss, who would otherwise be hearing aid users. The hearing aid is completely implanted behind the ear. This will allow one to maintain a very active lifestyle without sacrificing hearing.
A couple years ago i went and got this test done that checked for nerve damage in my ears. They found nerve damage in my left ear. My mom notice something was wrong when i was a baby. But they didn’t know all of this. I have deafness. It is mild to moderate hearing loss, 40 to 50 db loss. db=decibels.
brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) test – can diagnose hearing ability and can indicate the presence of brain stem tumors and multiple sclerosis. Electrodes are placed on the scalp and earlobes. Auditory stimuli, such as clicking noises and tones, are delivered to one ear.
That is the testing i had done.
I wear a hearing aid for my left ear.
Also i am 21 years old.
I also have mild mental retardation,deafness,communication disorder,adhd,sensory issues.

Ones that go inside my ear, so I will make a video about those when I get the new ones. Reason I am getting new one are: These didn’t work 100% well on me, but for some people it will work 110% on. Is premature birth one of the causes of hearing loss? I was a premmature baby I have 85% hearing loss in my left ear and my right ear hears 100%. It is also a nerve loss. I had bad ear infections when i was a kid. Could an ear infection cause a nerve loss?
