Behind the ear hearing aids are the most popular hearing devices. An ear mold is constructed that will fit in the ear canal, then it has a small tube that goes from the hearing aid back to the ear mold. They call this tubing the tone hook.

This hearing aid complete with volume and on off control and a compartment to store the battery. A microphone sits on top of the hearing aid. The sound is picked up and sent through the tubing to the ear mold that is fitted for your ear.

Behind the ear hearing aids are the most popular with children. One of the main reasons for using this type of hearing aid is because it is a lot less delicate than other hearing aids. This hearing aid also has large controls, which makes it easy for a child to use it.

Behind the ear hearing aids are a little larger than the ones that are worn in the ear. This means it needs a larger battery, which makes more power, and a greater amplification.

Another great feature of the behind the ear hearing aid is it not only easy for a child to use but for anyone who has arthritis or any other problem that can effect the use of there fingers and hands.
The large controls makes operating it much easier, and also this hearing aid’s circuitry can be analog or digital which ever a person prefers.

In June 2007, Dr Herzog was interviewed regarding a completely implantable hearing aid. This new device has undergone a phase 1 trial with the Food and Drug Administration. The Center for Hearing and Balance Disorders is one of a limited number of centers selected to participate in the phase 2 study. The device is intended for individuals with moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss, who would otherwise be hearing aid users. The hearing aid is completely implanted behind the ear. This will allow one to maintain a very active lifestyle without sacrificing hearing.

Ones that go inside my ear, so I will make a video about those when I get the new ones. Reason I am getting new one are: These didn’t work 100% well on me, but for some people it will work 110% on. But not me. And I want in-ear ones. I guess this is considered my first “vlog”! Like what you see? Subscribe to me please. And tell everyone about me too. Rate and Comment also. Thanks
